Aku sebenarnya tak kenal pun siapa George Benson ni, kalau ditanya kat orang-orang senior atau mak bapak kita mungkin diorang tahu kot sebab penyanyi George Benson ni dah baya-baya atok nenek kita dah.
Dapat bergambar dengan George Benson.. pertama kali aku nampak dia macam gengster je.. tapi bila dia dah bercakap baik yaa amat..
The eminent jazz guitarist George Benson is back! This multi Grammy Award winning American musician was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and began his recording career at the age of twenty-one. He quickly achieved prominence for being both a highly skilled and unparalleled guitarist, as well as a smooth vocalist with great emotional range and sophistication.By the early ‘60s, George had joined organist Jack McDuff’s band – a gig that was educational but short-lived. He left to form his own band, and eventually launched his solo career with his 1964 album, “The New Boss Guitar”. A few albums later, his jazz record “Breezin’” attained triple-platinum status and yielded many evergreen hits, including the instrumental title track, the soulful update of Leon Russell’s “This Masquerade” and the lively “Give Me The Night”. Some of his more notable offerings of the past decade include the albums Absolute Benson (2000), the sexy and soulful Irreplaceable (2003), and Givin’ It Up (2006) – a duet recording with the legendary Al Jarreau that scored two Grammy Awards.Nothing can slow this jazz powerhouse down! With a new album out (Songs And Stories, 2009) and a string of concerts worldwide, George is on a roll and is all set to present local fans with an unforgettable night of savvy strumming and magnificent music
